By train (and an Amtrak-connected bus) you’d have to go to Chicago first and then get a bus to Cincinnati. The total cost buying through Amtrak is at least $113 US one way, and it would take a day and a half. With a bed it would cost more.
A better choice might be to take VIA to Windsor ($65 minimum if you buy ahead), a taxi across the border to Detroit ($15 or so), and then a Greyhound bus ($31 US minimum). You could probably get there in one day if you leave early.
Or buses the whole way — various connections take between 13 and 25 hours. Cost – about $100 one way.
